Honestly, I think the division is better for us. Painful, yes, but so is setting a broken bone or removing a bullet from the flesh. Then again, I'm one of those people who think the states should be much more divided and independent. Maybe the political mindfuckery will encourage California to actually secede someday.

I'm glad after this everyone from the left and right will be able to get along and we'll heal the country instead of digging in even deeper into division /s
