The media reported the story as told by the alleged victim Smollet, when new information was discovered bt the police they reported it. Take your tin foil hat off.

There were holes in the story very early on which the media chose to ignore. The Robin Roberts' interview is the best example but it was wide spread.

GMA may not be known for hard hitting investigative journalism but painting this as a conspiracy is a little off the mark.

It follows the same pattern as the Nicholas Sandmann incident. I don't believe that it is a conspiracy, in the true sense of the word. It is the media being too willing to run with things that support their bias, without following basic journalist standards of investigation.
