I have no pity for news outlets. For too long, they have spun headlines and facts and pushed lies and one-sided political opinions and now online we're seeing anyone who doesn't fit a specific role getting shut out. Free speech is free speech, true but to say "We can say whatever we want but you can't" is antithetical to what it's really all about.
They can be shut down for all I care. At some point, the reaper always comes for his dues.

I'm not sure that's a really good comparison. The boy didn't have the means to command the townsfolk to help him. Trump can command the military, sign EOs, sign/veto bills, and so on. He actually has power and, as I've always said, watch what he does, not what he says. He's taken a page from Putin's handbook where you use misdirection to keep opponents off balance and that's always done through speech/word. What's the saying? Twitter is Trump's laser pointer...
