We pay, the government get's rich, the companies getting taxed don't give a fuck because they just charge you more to make it up.

Of course it is going to hurt the consumer short term, in the long term, more jobs are going to be created and less expensive (hopefully Domestic) sources for products will come around as a correction.

Good. That means we won't be shipping things like meat over there to be processed and shipped back. We'll have to make our own cheap plastic toys (but without lead in them). We'll bring manufacturing back to a society that began a slide towards being a service workforce who is dependent on another country. You can't be maneuvered into anything by another country if you make your own stuff.
