Someone's going to be killed. This stuff is getting out of control and the flames are being fanned by the media.

the flames are being fanned by the media.

Not just fanned, they're dumping gasoline on it. They also strike matches if things don't blaze without help.
This trend of "If I can't have it my way, destroy everything", politics is horrifying.

It's like nothing I've ever seen in my lifetime. We've always been a country where win or lose, you came together after an election. Yeah, we bellyached about an Obama or Clinton on my side, but it was never this visceral. To actually see people asking for the country to fail to reinforce their political opinion is stunning. I think we're on the brink of a civil war.

Most presidents made gestures of reconciliation after they took office though. They try to unite and move on. In all fairness Trump did nothing of that kind, he just chose to keep pushing his agenda. I mean just listen to his inauguration speech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRBsJNdK1t0.

So yeah I blame the media for the polarization, but I blame Donny just as much.

So firstly altough i despise Sarah Huckabee Sander's in her proffesional role, She does have the right to a normal private life, especially since she hold the position she has.

Secondly, how is this different the denying service to gay customers? (serious question)

Well the biggest difference is that nobody is taking The Red Hen to court over this.

Businesses have the "right to refuse service for any reason", except for a handful of "protected classes", which in Colorado includes sexual orientation. And that one ended getting dismissed purely on the grounds that Colorado's regulatory agency was openly hostile against the bakers' own protected class status (religious beliefs).

Political affiliation is not protected, so the restaurant is well within their rights to ask her to leave.

you win the ability to not serve certain people because you don't like something about them, then you complain when it gets applied to people you like.

you reap what you so.

a lot of this is entitlement olympics in reverse, one way or another, etc.

Everything the other side does is evil, everything my side does is great.

my personal view is that, in general, any (mostly positive) has a valid point and insight into the human condition.

You can combine elements to achieve a decent balance.

It isn't all self interest, or tribalism, or whatever.

I tend to draw the line at destructive philosophies, mass suicide, or mass murder.
