I'm not sure why this isn't classed as wasting police time.

Selective enforcement of the law is the modus operandi of the state. If you're on its shit list, prepare for a full ramming, but expect those with power to escape for free.

On a side note, it really feels like language manipulation from both the extreme left and right has gone into overdrive in the last few years.

A white person voices suspicions about an innocuous person of color.

And then there is the lack of facts in this article but an abundance of opinion

I have every right to call the police. You cannot sleep in that room.

Can this article not even research this and find out if there is such as policy?

We all know that cops can be dumbasses, but napping in the commons is an easy way to get campus police on your ass. Most people that do this are passed out drunk.

Doesn't help that this chick refused to show ID, and that the school doesn't require your legal name to be on your school ID. If you're going to take a stand for your rights to not carry ID I'm all for that, but lets not lay this at the feet of the police as some sort of racial issue. The result for a white student would have been the same. Cops have to respond.

Hell, even the bitch that called the cops gave the sleeping chick a warning. The communications between school and police are the real issue here.

CNN is so fucking racist (and promotes racial division) it's not even funny.

It's OK to see a suspicious situation, like a person passed-out in public, and then ask authorities to check in on things. There's nothing inherently racist about that. The alternative is we adopt a "don't ask, don't tell" with homeless people.
