Most likely. I mean, pretty much any tech company involved in the data mining business is vulnerable to having a scandal eventually. However, these tech companies do have a lot of power in D.C., especially because most of the senators that questioned Zuckerberg in that committee meeting were paid by him at some point. So, I doubt it will change anything politically in the U.S., but I do think it will make the public more skeptical of these kinds of companies once it happens.
The saddest part of all of this is that they'll lobby for favorable legislation by buying our senators. They'll pass something and people will all be angry b/c it isn't enough. They'll soon forget and congressmen will slyly add riders to unrelated bills here and there stripping it back with no one noticing.
