that's aweful. I guess they expect the local businesses to absorb all the construction costs too. I don't get how they can just decide what security features private stores are allowed to use or not use to protect themselves from crime.

It's PC stuff. They don't want the communities being served to 'feel' uncomfortable. They'd rather have the poor folks trying to make a living take a few bullets.

I'm just reminded of the L.A. riots footage of the Korean business owners standing on their roof with rifles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgCiC6qTtjs

Cindy Bass should be forced to work the overnights at these places for a month without bulletproof glass, there is a lot of crazy shit.

I agree. That's the problem nowadays from DC down to local government. Too many people making these laws that have no real clue of what life is like in the real world outside their big money bubbles. They're constantly seeking solutions to problems that either don't exist or aren't in any way 'fixed' by some feel good legislation that does nothing to help whatever situation they're tring to address, or makes life more impossible for those who have to live with those laws.

BTW, great example.

Feelings and virtue signaling are more important than innocent lives apparently

A sad reality in today's society, aye. Gotta make the leftists happy.
