I get your point though, and you're right. Just about anyone I would feel comfortable giving power to, would not want it.
The kind of person that is successful in politics is the one who does not let morality hinder them. So what we end up with is the worst of us ruling over the best.
Democracy. It's only good because everything else sucks even harder.

Most people aren't prone to doing the psychotic things we see from politicians. If we want to fix this, we need to rule ourselves.
