I get your point though, and you're right. Just about anyone I would feel comfortable giving power to, would not want it.
The kind of person that is successful in politics is the one who does not let morality hinder them. So what we end up with is the worst of us ruling over the best.
Democracy. It's only good because everything else sucks even harder.

Crimes committed by Trump: Still 0. Crimes committed by the Democratic party: dozens, I don't know, I lost count.
I want to go back in time. Back to when the Democrats were the good-guys. Now we just have an assortment of bad-guys to choose from, but no good ones left.
