Guess they don't have good Spanish translations of 1984 down there. They aren't even trying to be subtle with this stuff.

They're trying to tell a big enough lie often enough so people believe it

Also before the assembly is a bill that would punish those who express "hate or intolerance" with up 25 years in jail.
