Ah yeah I know about it. Basically China "uses" Russian tech and then build's "their own" versions of it. Then again 1,2 billion Chinese, so a failure/crash and a lost pilot isn't that big a loss.
If you want good helicopters you should buy straight from the Russians.

Desperate*. Helicopters fail unexpectedly even when manufactored by reliable producers. China has a well earned reputation of cutting corners and putting low quality components in their products. They are looking to export these and I cannot see anyone but third world dictators being clients.
