@violentlight talk about overbooking

How crazy is this eh? Its amazing how quickly rights of the individual are thrown away in the name of security. Airlines figure they can do what they want, because they are a security choke point. They don't seem to give a fuck about the customers.

I'm just going to rent a car whenever I need to go somewhere. Or else I'll probably end up in a situation where they drag my wife and I off a plane, and leave my 6 year old daughter on there without us.

  • Be around 60, a doctor

  • done nothing exiting or weird or lawbreaking in atleast 30 years

  • gets dragged of of an airplane with force while doing absolutely nothing wrong and paying for the fucking seat

  • Still make it back to your seat (traumatized as shit though)

press statement UA:

"After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate," the airline added.

"voluntarily"

The chief executive of United, Oscar Munoz, has since made a statement on Twitter: "This is an upsetting event to all of us here at United. I apologise for having to re-accommodate these customers."

"re-accommodate"
