This is one of the songs that for me encapsulates the 80s. I will never not stop whatever I'm doing to listen to it if it comes on.
But watching it today the most remarkable thing about the video is how clumsy and unmusical the models are. I don't think that anyone ever assumed that they were playing the instruments, nor was that the intention of the director. Rather it was done for the overall effect. And it definitely was that, effective I mean.
But the complete absence of any attempt at some choreography even as simple as swaying in time to the music is, 40 years later at least, quite laughable.
Also I'd never noticed how short Palmer appears to be. He was 5'8", so average height more or less. But amongst those leggy models in high heels he looks like a freakin' hobbit.
