The first time I saw this movie, I was a teen. Someone asked, "Who wants to eat mushrooms and go to the theater?".
I'd already said yes the moment he said 'mushroom', so I didn't ask what was playing.
Those were very good mushrooms, and that was the second most insane trip I've had.
The other people at the theater knew all the audience participation stuff
So when people started standing up and doing coordinated actions, or throwing rice, yelling at the screen.. etc. I didn't know if it was real.
I didn't know what was going on, but it was fantastic.
I'm not sure I was ever the same after that.
