I've been thinking about this again. I also read this https://phuks.co/s/ModernPowers/9093

I think that there should be an MP-like game on it's own website. It would take inspiration from EU4, but it would be much more diplomatic than being a war and expansion game. I think there has to be a mix of arcade and realistic simulation. We should take heed from games like Democracy 3.

There needs to be a focus on these variables:

  • Taxes (income, corporate, consumption, capital gains, tariffs)

  • Spending (education, healthcare, infrastructure, public housing, subsidies)

  • Economy (measures GDP, GDP per capita, debt, interest (affected by debt-to-gdp), HDI (could be influenced by education and healthcare spending))

  • Military (army, airforce, space, navy, technology investment)

  • Social policy (security, gay marriage, abortion, drugs, curfews)

  • Diplomacy (covert ops, influencing elections (Russia!), foreign aid, theoretical FTA's and economic unions)

This would be like a multiplayer version of Democracy 3 in a sense.

I think the UI should be taken from something similar to EU4. Your country is highlighted in particular. You can change the map like in EU4 based on friendliness, development, population.

This would be so easy to develop that I'm not going to do it! Just brainstorming at this point.

Once you pay someone to develop it we can start the game, most of the MP people are gone or work on phuks/other projects and have no spare time for something as complicated as a full game.

I don't think it is. Feel free to try, but plan carefully.
