I almost added when I first replied that the military takes such things way too seriously. IMHO ... not a really big deal in this day and age ... a remnant of another time, perhaps.

I can understand where such relationships could be troublesome in the infantry. I suppose if it's a visible relationship it probably should be stopped. Perhaps simply transferring them to different units would be sufficient.
