It's definitely not the same, we're pretty laid back and drama free. If you want to argue with people on the internet we're probably not a great place for it (Poal, Ruqqus, Raddle are good for that). But if you have some hobbies/interests you like to post about we're a good place for that.
As far as language policing goes there's not a lot of that, we mainly try to remain respectful of the site and each other, but respect the TOS so the host doesn't ban us. If someone is going full autism outside of any of the soapbox subs (I cant speak for mods and admins) or does something that would hurt the site as a whole there's a chance they'll get banned.
Just think about things like someone inviting you to stay at their house, if the first thing you do is take a shit on the rug they probably wouldn't be all that happy.
