I have one account on reddit that I keep for an invite-only private sub that the owner wants to move off of reddit but can't because nowhere else would give users access (or the sub the exposure). He'd probably move it here and set up forwarding somehow if we could have invite-only subs. But anyway, I regularly check my account to see if it's shadowbanned simply because I use VPN, point out the stupidity of people, mods, and admin, and so on. It's a requirement because reddit is full of retard.

I thought you or pembo said that you had decided early on to keep things open and transparent?

We discussed no private or anon mode subs early on, but as far as this style site, the format/functionality, it should be included for anyone else that wants to use our code.

For phuks specifically, we would have to have rules like admins can see everything too? What mods are allowed to send invites and revoke access? Can a mod remove a user that another mod invited? Is the sub full private or public with only approved posters? We would also make it admin approved only vs. any user being able to make any random sub.

It's an interesting format that has many legitimate reasons for privacy, but for phuks, we'll have to hammer it all out to make sure we're all cool with it.
