OK. So they are getting upset because a mod is removing irrelevant content in a sub.

I think the point of contention is more a question of whether a should the mod decide the content of a sub or should the community of the sub decide it. In particular this guy didn't create the sub it seems.

For a place that likes to make fun of Indians for shitting in the streets, Voat sure does like to shit in places it doesn't belong.

I honestly don't think it matters if the mod is the creator of the sub. As long as the sub wasn't acquired through nefarious means, then it is that mods sub to do with as he pleases.

In a perfect world where everyone has the best intentions and just wants help, you might be right but that doesn't take into account bad actors, incompetent people, insane people or just arseholes/powertrippers who want to mod the sub to destroy the community.

Anyway this is a tired old debate best left to Voat now. Let them argue over it and we can sit back and watch the results from time to time. Maybe one day PuttItOut will implement that community voting system and by some miracle Tor, alt accounts and Vpns won't factor into the decision of who gets to mod a sub.
