They aren't unrelated though. They are all things that require attention from Voat admins.
I think the timing sounds about right. It seems like the admins ghosted the site a while back. Things can only coast for a while before they start going down due to neglect.

I truly meant that imgoat was created by a different person to hitch their wagon onto the success of voat. That's the official story tho am I rite? There must be something more nefarious going on.

I'd link it but I don't want to visit voat right now; the guy who runs imagoat (discoball or something like that) posted that they're moving the site or something and he can't believe how much CP was being posted to it.
