I have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of there. I enjoyed the good and ignored the ugly until it became even too toxic for me - LOL. I'm no different here, you guys just have a much more pleasant atmosphere. So I'll keep my account so I can occasionally cruise by and lurk, or stay in touch with a few friends, but like I said, there's nothing I've left behind there that I wouldn't gladly share with anyone. So there's that.

I'm not deleting either, but I think users should have the option. There are actually laws relating to not being able to delete accounts that are linked to your personal data (in this case emails, and maybe information shared voluntarily on the site by users, but that one is a long shot).
Here is a similar recent case that kind of relates. Voat's issue isn't as severe but it's still sketchy IMO.
