My theory is difficult to test but I want to believe that users unable to delete their accounts isn't from malicious intentions.
For those Phukers who have tried and failed at deleting their account; did you post or comment in disabled subverses?
My theory is that the deletion code can't run properly if you posted in subs that are now disabled.
Have no idea how a coder would fix that problem without reopening all the disabled subs.

I do however disagree with you about Empress. She held white nationalist ideas of traditional values. I couldn’t in all seriousness post or comment in that sub after seeing her Nazi values all over voat. If anything she made herself and that sub a target.
Really? Well, that is disappointing.
And..... I would be lying if I said that I hadn’t seem some accusations/rumors along those lines. At the time I wasn’t too worried about it because I stayed away/actively avoided it and also because that wasn’t what I was there for.
Saw some comments that she modded some other subs that might be along those lines but never really checked into it which was obviosly a mistake on my part.
I didn’t realize she actually and seriously held Nazi values. Maybe I was willfully ignorant? Probably.
I saw her make a few comments in the TW sub but they were mild and more like wink, wink, nod, nod, more like an inside joke (which I guess I didn’t get) type of thing. I thought that was all they were at the time, jokes, as if she was poking fun at being called a racist or whatever. It was - the same way she would sort of make a subtle joke or reference about the rumors flying that she was a transexual. I mean that’s how I took it at the time.
I did see extremists post things in that sub. But all I ever saw her reply back was something like an “lol” or smiley face. I took it more as she didn’t really want to engage rather than approval.
Also saw her openly welcome a Middle Eastern woman who asked point blank if anyone in TW would essentially be offended or run her off if she posted things like photos of traditional Afghan, etc... dresses. I know I responded to her stating that I for one loved studying and learning about other cultures that what bothered me was all of the anti anything European sentiments going around and racism aganist whites. I told her that I wasn’t trying to insinuate that she would do that and I would actually looked forward to seeing her posts.
Pretty much I just don’t want to be attacked and I don’t want to ever do that to anyone else even if I don’t agree with them.
Also, I know there were people who would occassionally post things like Hitler speech videos, etc... but I never saw her personally post anything like that. Although I suppose those could have been her buddies done with her approval or an alt.
I never responded to those types of posts.
I was more interested in the self help aspect of it and I guess I am not smart enough to be a nerd so will just say I am a big dork. So you know learning how to make butter from scratch is kind of right up my alley.
Also it was just nice not being surrounded by constant complaining and hearing about divorce from other women nonstop.
I am Christian (but respect those who are not, used to be an atheist myself once) and hold traditional family values but I am definitely not a Nazi and try to judge everyone as individuals.
Edited to add: there were things she hinted at or was subtle about in that sub that I didn’t comment on because they appeared to have a double meaning or she was somewhat vauge in her reply and I couldn’t work out what she meant. I do work full time, not stay at home, and I was afraid I might get attacked on that front but never did. I did get attacked on Voat for saying that I wear makeup (of all things to be attacked for) but not in the TW sub although I got the impression that many of them didn’t approve which was kind of odd. I mean wear it, don’t wear it I don’t really care.
Sorry for my novel length reply. Apparently I have an obsessive compulsive need to over explain/clarify myself.
That is the only thing that has me frightened. I didn’t want to fear monger or be accused of it, prior to the outage I had taken a step back anyway and was then involved in an accident... so I just stayed away from the site alrogether. Didn’t comment, etc...
This place seems nice but I am so stressed that I am seriously going to get off the internet altogether for a bit.
I just wanted to throw out my experience with deleting my account in case it may be of any help to anyone. Also, honestly curious if someone (anyone) else got the same error message I did. Should have taken a screen shot of it but it’s hard to think when you are in ongoing full panic mode.
I don’t think anyone is really going to be interested in my asking for help in making jelly or Empress sharing a cake recipe with me.
I made more social type of comments (rather than political) like anti feminism type of comments. Nothing radical or extreme like gas this group or kill all of that group, etc....
But I can see where certain thngs could be taken completely out of context and turned/used against me especially stating out right that I am against modern feminism.
I actually only made my newer account because of Empress. Her sub was absolutely positive and encouraging and she was so welcoming.
It seemed that it got to the point where even she couldn’t keep all the nastiness out... being attacked for giving out relationship, marriage, and social advice and holding a “traditional” family values type of view??? Seriously?
Edited because apparently I am full of typos today. Also, scary thing is is you just do a random web search asking what is Voat like, etc... basically I got back at ton of comments from various sites stating outright that it is a Nazi sympathizer site. Ughhhh.... wait, no, not what I went for.
