After a long and undeciperable (to us non-physicists) series of equations, the author ponders "Why is the blackbody demarcation at 42θsi? Why is the fine structure constant a function at 42θsi? Why is Planck’s expression for α a differential of the fine structure constant, a function of 42θsi? And finally, why is the ground state orbital of an atom a function of 42θsi?"
The answer seems to be that our reality would not be stable if any other number were substituted for 42.
It's hard to question the authority of the Informativity Institute.
