With Dutch decriminalized laws on selling "soft drugs" (weed and hashj) the market for it is actually working with competition (most idiotic thing is that growing is still very illegal in NL and actively craced down on by police).

With sales out in the open much about the prices has to do with quality. I live in a city with around 100k population and we have around 10 coffeeshops operating in the area.

Weed goes from cheap: 4-5 euros to expensive 10 Euro's per gram.

Hashj (mostly smuggled from Marocco or Afghanistan) goes for 7 euro's till 14 euro's per gram.

Yeah I got my medical prescription a few years back but haven't renewed it due to the legal status.

The prices seem much more competitive on the black market now that it's legal.

And the ones calling the shots haven't figured out that they're still feeding the black markets by sucking so much taxes out of each purchase

It looks like it's going to go the same direction here.
There are plenty of legal(ish) dispensarys, but the black market still dominates.
They are cheaper and more reliable. Quality is usually better as well.

The place I use is black-market, even though I do have a medicinal card.
