Edit:
No, but I brought a shotgun on that journey. If I'm taking her out to take pictures, I might as well look for seasonal game.
This shit is seriously cramping my time!
I don't even fucking care if she's right beside me. I will shoot Mr. Bird and I will slaughter Mr. Rabbit. She can cry quietly. I only have so many things I'll put up with! I have my limits.
I keep waiting to see Bigfoot smiling in the under brush, but have been seriously disappointed to date. So far I've scrutinized many a Maine photo this morning/afternoon and nothing! Trees, rocks, running water is only so interesting, especially for one who grew up in similar country. We need to action here. You need snow to smash, that's pretty apparent. It'll be here soon, I hope ... for the sake of your sanity.
First snow event, of any note, is Thursday. I've had spitting snow and really light dustings that stayed on the morning frost for a few hours. That doesn't count. I didn't even put my winter tires on and my plow isn't hooked up - nor have I put the sander in the bed.
It's not even enough to make driving more interesting. It'll be here. It'll be here soon!
I've never ever had any real trick-or-treaters come to my house. Ever. (This doesn't stop the missus from buying candy.)
Soon, there shall be snow. I shall enslave the eldest hoodlum and she shall take photos of my adventures. I'm gonna smash some snow!
I also can't really put the plow on and sander in the bed until EH has something better to drive. She can't drive a manual very well and I'm sure as shit not riding with her with 3 tons of sand in the back and an 8.5' plow on the front. No. No, I want nothing to do with that.
Where any animals harmed in the creation of this Photo Log of Maine?
