I'm also going to have to send EH to a driving school. It's the law. I looked. Fortunately, I know a guy in Skowhegan! I can bribe him. She sure as shit isn't going to pass the driving part of the test. The whole spatial awareness thing escapes her.

(I'm absolutely avoiding the conversation about my aging. Damned right, I am. I'll be 61 this year. That's one year as an old person. So far, so good.)

Oh, I go see the witchdoctor tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be taken off bed-rest. Insurance would pitch a fit if they found me going over to the farm right now and found out. I am sort of behaving. Sort of...

LOL I ain't gonna live that long - I hope! I'll be happy making it to 65. 70 is good. 75 is maybe okay - maybe. 80? That's starting to piss me right the fuck off, I suspect. 85? You're out of your tree, get me to the euthanasia clinic. 90? Someone drugged me and forced me to live that long. Anything beyond that is almost certainly a Grange Hall conspiracy! (Or the Freemasons!)

And I've been pretty good (for me) about following the witchdoctor's orders. I check with my daughter, but she has so far agreed with them. (It could be professional pride. I remain dubious!) She wasn't even all that mad about my performing! She only called me a few names. That's pretty good, for her.

They are seemingly conspiring to make me sit inside and write more often. They even told me horrible lies and said they'd read my books that they seem to think I'm going to write.

Oh, I did agree to write a book - but just one. I am going to write a children's novel and explain science to them.
