I'm just gonna cut/paste it. 'Snot much more text that's needed, except to say that pretty soon Ol' Buddha's gonna be smashing snow. We've got a hard frost rolling in tonight.
Anyhow, this was my comment and I've been sharing pictures of Maine with you - so I figured I'd save some time and share these with you:

Soon!!!!! The leaves are still pretty muted, but will peak soon. I expect they'll peak this coming week, but that was down at a lower elevation and the sky was pretty cloudy.
I should also add that I'm thinking the colors may be a bit muted this year, due to the weather. We've had some pretty wet weather this year and the leaves really aren't all that vibrant yet. Still, I think it's pretty beautiful.
I grew up in a state forest so I'm partial to trees since the wind blowing through them was my bedtime lullaby for most of my childhood.
