Skype's Debian package could allow attackers to completely takeover machines

Microsoft hijacking your system and leaving your machine vulnerable? I'm shocker. As a positive, I think Skype is more or less dead (but unfortunately supplanted by a multitude of other proprietary options).

Skype was known to phone home on Linux daily even when it wasn't running. Could have been an update check but there are times it wasn't updated for years.
