Well in 2014 there was a problem with the libertarian candidate's signatures for ballot access and he was pulled from the ballot.
I couldn't really say how we do historical vs other states but I looked at 2010's numbers and libertarians received almost 100k votes. Not bad all things considered for that election.

Isn't Ohio one of the more consistent states for Libertarians? Never a huge amount but always pretty consistent voting numbers.
