In this video, Jason Brennan discusses different ways we can view democracy; should we view Democracy as a tool, like a hammer, that can help us achieve a means to an end? Or is it something beautiful, like a work or art? Or does it have intrinsic value, like how we typically think of humans having a value in and of themselves?
He also discusses voting, the usefulness of voting, and how we can think about voting.
Ha. Allegedly. :p
Yeah, I was away forever, but with the new influx, Boukert gave me a swift kick in the ass (politely, though), and I decided I can make an effort again.
I thought about you a bit while I was away. Looking forward to chatting again.

Same. Glad you're back.
Not directed at OP but this relates to representative democracy not democracy. Interesting take on whether to vote or not because of past events...I tend to agree with Jason because freedom is an ability to either do something or not do something.
