You call that stench "aromatic?"

So that was supposed to be a "leek only" dish, yet it has a a lot of seasoning to cover up it's foul flavor?

Now just because your culinary experience is so limited you think retarded leeks make a good dish, doesn't mean you should take it out on the innocent garlic and onions. Both of these magnificent vegetables are especially delicious and can be the star of their own simple dishes. Like this traditional baked onion or this incredible garlic soup.

ok, ok, I placed undue hatred towards garlic and onions. I love them both, I did leave out the standard French Onion Soup for an onion kicker, but often bread and cheese are involved in that. Maybe I'll give garlic soup a try.

My question to you is how many times have you cooked with or tried cooking with leeks? It's really basically a green onion on steroids, but you can't use the greens without cooking them.

Fine, I will concede that I don't actually have a distaste for leeks. I was being defensive because I felt like you were attacking the innocent onion.

Truce?

Truce. I love my onion and garlic allium brothers. I'm sorry if I came off hostile towards onions. I just get so passionate sometimes, ya know?
