I've been planning on writing up a Language of the Month for June 1st and it's been quite difficult for me, so I just wanted to write this to prove I haven't died yet. Nevertheless, what language do you find interesting, but is something you will probably not learn?

For me, that language is Japanese. I used to take Karate lessons as a kid, so the language always interested me a bit. However, I've a few languages that interest me more, have a richer history with my family/friends, and are far easier and more relevant to my life. (Dutch, German, and Indonesian)

Perhaps one day I'll seriously consider learning Japanese.

You know...I guess I feel kind of dumb. I have never had the desire to learn another language.

I learned a second language in grade school, but only because it was forced on me. The language I learned was very helpful for me, however. If it had not been forced I don't think I would have ever tried to take it on.

So maybe a lot of people are like me? Maybe we all just need a challenge. I think its a good starting point for any person to learn the language closest to them that they don't know.

Maybe you stem from a long culture that has different vocabularies or conjugations, and you only use one of them. So go learn the others. Or maybe you are surrounded on all sides by different bordering languages and just have never taken it upon yourself to learn them. Try that now.

I'm not sure what language I should learn. I know English, Latin, and Spanish. And in a different sense I know a few computer languages as well. What language do you think you should learn?

Sanskrit/Hindu. There are so many variations of the spoken language. The script (Sanskrit) just looks tough.

I feel the same way about Japanese.
Subtitles are too distracting on porn.

I always wanted to learn Japanese too. That or Mandarin is on the to-do list for sure.
