I liked the East German variant with the toilet paper better.

What's that one?

An East German visits a Warenhaus and asks the saleswoman: "Have you got any toilet paper?" The saleswoman answers: "No, we haven't got any toilet paper."

Disappointed, the man leaves and gets to the parking lot. Just as he speeds up his Trabant, in the rear mirror he sees the saleswoman running for him huffing and puffing. He hits the brakes, rolls down the window and waits for the saleswoman to catch up.

After some seconds of catching her breath, she asks: "Maybe... you'd... want... some... paper... tissues... instead?"

Delighted, the man answers: "Yes! Paper tissues would do too!"

The saleswoman gets upright and replies: "No, we haven't got any paper tissues."
