Corporations have resisted this nonsense largely because it doesn't financial sense. Sure, they'll do plenty of pandering about how much they like diversity on their career page and do some token events inside the companies, but for most companies (except the usual California ones), nobody really cares about this stuff.

I work in California at a massive corporation and they shove diversity and inclusion down our throats on at least a weekly basis.
