There was even more publicity around this one because The First Teacher in Space was on board. She was a high school teacher and for weeks we got interviews with her students. Her WHOLE school had class suspended so they could watch the launch on TV.
I was listening to the radio and they broke in with the news. I had to pull over. It took me a long time to get my shit together enough to go to work. (blubbering like a little girl all these years later - that shit fucked with me hard)
