He doesn't seem to be aware that his rather stupid false equivalencies to contemporary migration movements devalue his work as a whole, put his intellectual integrity as such in question. Making unqualified comments on contemporary politics seems to be a common occupational disease among historians though. If you want to ruin a country (and have no Donald or Bernie at hand), put a successful historian in charge. They have dozens of ready-to-implement solutions for every societal problem you can imagine. And none of them works as intended.
