To avoid sunstroke, or the fatal affliction which is known by that title, refuse to drink alcoholic beverages, never drink cold water while you are heated, do not walk at a rapid pace, carry a light but large umbrella, eat mainly of such food as nature so abundantly supplies for the season, stay under shelter while the sun is at the meridian, "keep shady" all the while, and take things generally very easy.

What is called sunstroke is very often invited where the circumstances are favorable to it, by mental anxiety, and what is termed "worry."

Also, the "Big rattlesnake" and "burglaries" stories...

The thieves began their depredations at the Palace Theatre where a candy machine in the vestibule was broken open and approximately $2 was stolen. Police believe the thieves then went to the garage of A.A. King, also in Netcong. Entrance was gained through a transom. The sum of $30 was stolen and the thieves also took coupons sufficient to obtain 1,500 gallons of gasoline.

It's crazy that the sums of $2 and $30 was newsworthy when compared to 1500 gallons of gas.
