No... the nazis were shit... No one ever said they weren't. There were also entirely Muslim SS divisions. That doesn't make being a Nazi a cool thing to do. I really just thought it was an interesting old ww2 photo I'd never seen before so I researched it a bit.

Fair enough. I wasn't sure there was a vague implication.
It is neat, I had not heard of these guys before. But it makes perfect sense, as Germany sent volunteers to help fight in the Spanish civil war.
It's a great example of the sometimes odd treaties, alliances and mutual agreements, that occurred around this time.
