Compared to pristine nature, perhaps.

Pristine nature is all we got here, but people doing their best to kill it. Don't know if they're actually worth the money they cost, but just saying, they're ugly and they kill bats n birds.

Well, they're a hell of a lot better than coal plants - some dead birds are a small price to pay.

Cept when our bats n birds are endangered. We're small here.

As in other places, you can attempt to place wind-farms in places that are less ecologically significant (ie. where the humans have already screwed up the environment). Alternatively, you can pay more for other clean forms of power generation.

In the longer term runaway global heating is very likely to kill off your unique bats & birds anyway. Kiss them goodbye unless the world stops burning fossil fuels for power (and I see Hawaii does a poor job in that respect).
