The project's main purpose is to provide an archive of all the user-submitted music files from the Friday Night Guitar Thread (FNGT).

However, it has more than that function. It functions as a central repository and a place for us to also hang out. It's meant to be an addition to the FNGT, and not subtractive from the FNGT. It's not meant to replace it, but it is meant to stand as a backup, just in case.

You might wonder why I'm posting it here. There's a madness to my method.

I know that many folks are fed up with Voat and prefer not to visit. Frankly, I think the best thing about Voat is the people that participate in the FNGT. Because folks don't want to visit, it means they're missing out on the great music made by just regular people, ranging from rank amateurs to professionals with decades of experience.

So, it's a place you can go and see the work that is done - if you so desire. It's a place you can visit, interact, and even contribute, should you so desire.

Which is why I'm sharing it on Phuks. (Besides, I'm kinda pleased with the results! I spent many, many hours swearing at the code.)

If you'd like to see, it's https://fngt.gq. If you want to skip the silly CMS that I have going on, you can see that it's actually built on SMF - forum software you may already be familiar with. Here's a direct link: https://fngt.gq/forum/
