There’s no specific GBTH this week. – Play Guitar

Throat is not bad today! I think that part is going away. Still a bit sore and still REALLY drained of energy.

So, my throat wasn't too bad and I figured it was a good idea to smoke some pot again! Yay!

I didn't have energy/motivation to go research the next planned guitarist better than Hendrix and I also wanted to see if maybe I could send some sort of positive message about keeping your dreams alive. Yeah, I know... It's kinda silly and people aren't really interested in big dreams these days. But, that's really the underlying message. There's no specific guitarist better than Hendrix in this one, though there are many better than him (probably). I just don't actually know their names.

Guitarist Better Than Hendrix.

To be fair, I'd never used that acronym before now.

I usually write one every Thursday, but I'm really not feeling up to it today and didn't invest the time to research it. My throat appears to be getting better but there's still some weird swelling on my left side and I'm told it'll be a while before I'm back to complete normal and have my normal amount of energy.

Fair enough. Never thought you were wrong bout that. Society deifies individuals w/ out good reason. Like wow a black guy played guitar in the 60s. SO INSPIRING!!!!!!!

He was many things, but greatest guitarist (from a technical standpoint) is not one of those things.

It's my belief that such a title should be based on objective criteria and should be about the act of playing the guitar itself. As such, Hendrix really wasn't all that impressive - and he wasn't even nearly as inventive as people credit him for being. He wasn't really the first for anything he did - except maybe setting a guitar on fire.
