LOL Those graphics are terrible.

Many years ago, there was an early Need For Speed that was the special Road and Track edition. That was actually pretty awesome.

This was SNES. It was one of my favorite games so them's fightin' words!

No, for SNES, it wasn't too bad. The sound and music wasn't too horrible. But if you wanna see what a really proper game could do, look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScW77tAMOgE

That's freaking 8 bit right there and it's better than most of what was put on the SNES and certainly better than most of the flash games out there today.

Hey! I remember that game!

We'll have to just disagree about the looks department - though it's pretty good for 8 bits.

Most companies wouldn't do what they could to make things look good. This was the first console after the Atari crash (caused by them cranking out any game they could including trying to make a "rubik's cube" game as if people would want to buy that instead of a real rubik's cube) so they were hesitant about pushing boundaries.

It was actually possible to display 64 colors at a time on the screen. But it required some work.

The golden days of gaming.
