Was talking about Pim Fortuyn with @pmya in another thread. The final was a few days after that assasination in our own Stadium versus Borussia. Such a weird atmosphere in the City then, no one on the streets but we won the cup. very very odd.

Freiburg was taking a nosedive at that time, as always when they are too successful. They are great at finding and utilizing talent at a budget, but they don't have the treasury to keep it when other clubs notice and wave with the money bags.
