WW1 ended on November 11th, we wear poppies as remembrance. Last year FIFA (which is the international football organisation) introduced rules to ban countries from putting any political stuff on shirts/armbands. They banned all the UK teams from wearing poppies, we did it anyway and then they fined us.
I suspect we will do it anyway regardless of what FIFA says. This time it is particularly significant though, because we're playing Germany.
