Weak Men Are Threatened By Intelligent Women

Most men are threatened by intelligent women, weak or strong. Whether they admit it or not depends mainly upon how honest they are with themselves.

This is a blog that references 2 studies that rely on self reporting/participant opinion. In fact even the title has bias.

I feel like the design of experiment is not adequate to make such an assertion.

There are several ways to design experiments that would provide slightly more reliable data, for example by using existing couples as sample subjects (there is a reasonable assertion of attraction and a confirmed relationship). Or on the outlier end find people that fall over 1 standard deviation or more above the mean of their intelligence criteria and review their relationship status/history. Of course the criteria used to qualify intelligence will always leave room debate on the subject.

Many women dislike fat, soft, passive men, but it's silly to say they are 'threatened' by them. They just aren't attracted to them.

To the extent that men don't like smarter women, so what? If they find it unattractive, they find it unattractive. Categorizing it as a threat to their egos is unwarranted.

I disagree that weak men are threatened by women. Maybe men who aren't so intelligent themselves and haven't been given a solid foundation and thus lack self-esteem. This just seems like more culture war propaganda.
