I've done that before. When I'm on a plane or in a car or bus and I'm working, I call it work. When I used to be at a job that had long commutes or travel, that is. They didn't like it one bit but they knew they couldn't fight it because the alternative was "work only during hours and only on site." Did they want the code/project done and correct billing/reporting or did they want a strict "only work when" policy. They always ended up shutting their yaps.
