I wonder how the data flow to spammers and trackers changed by that.

Edit: Changing xpinstall.signatures.required to false in about:config fixed it for me. But be careful when messing in there.

I don't think so. They just fucked up and forgot to renew their cert. Same company which is assuring SSL cert's, can't manage their own.
