Do you think Voat is an example of what happens when an 'open-borders' policy leads to a builder culture being washed away by political refugees?

I think the problem with voat is a small group of people with who-knows how many accounts treat it as their own little playground. I think most of the angst there is just people LARPing to each other, each one trying to out do the other.

Very good point and a large part of the devolution of goatland in the last year. It starts as just annoying, then it becomes more ... till good folks start moving away.
