Here is the map for Spring 1901. Everyone is invited to use this thread as a general "shoutbox" to say whatever you like to everyone - remember that this is all public knowledge!

The negotiation phase ends at 10 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on Wednesday night, February 8th. This is Thursday morning, February 9th, at 4 AM US Central Standard Time (GMT -6). Once the negotiation phase ends, I can then receive orders - you will have 24 hours after this time to send me your orders. In other words, please send me your orders between 10 PM Wednesday and 10 PM Thursday (GMT).

If there's any questions feel free to ask away.

Reminder that the first movement phase will be tonight at 2200 GMT. If you still need to do some last-minute diplomacy, then now is the time.

Aye; Once 2200 GMT hits, you all will have 24 hours to send orders - that's 10 PM Wednesday night to 10 PM Thursday night GMT; or 4 AM for me locally. Please send me all orders between those hours, and not before if it can at all be helped. Please also avoid sending communications during this 24 hour period.

Thanks @Skyrock, I was also planning on making a similar announcement, but it never hurts to have some help.

Pope St Pius X has decided that the war brewing between Christian powers in Europe is best resolved by finding someone else to pick on. To that end he is calling for a new Crusade! He requests that all the faithful mobilize towards Constantinople and spread the Faith to any that survive. He'd especially like to formally extend invitations to Russia because he's pretty sure Russia missed all the fun the first eight or so times, and Austria because he'd prefer that Austria's armies be further away.

Issue: Spring 1901

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - A wild-eyed, crazed preacher appeared on the Red Square, screaming at the top of his lungs about the Crusades proclamation of Pope Pius X and trying to agitate the peasantry. Our brave constabulary quickly subdued and sacked him.

Czar Nicholas II. lets all of his subjects know that these agitations have to be dismissed as the feverish whisperings of Italian Jesuits attempting to sway the peasantry to participate in an ill-planned and disastrous lemming march. Our foreign correspondent in Rome, Piotr Spagettokoff, has the following insight to add: "Of course you know that it is ill-organized - it are the Italians organizing it."

Patriarch Macarius II. backs up our beloved Czar in this endeavour. "The Orthodox Church of all Russians never got involved in the Crusades as the Turk has always been our natural friend in the East. The fit is perfectly obvious: He doesn't drink, so this leaves more for us."

I'll be using this in future turns as a way of cheater-proofing my orders. If you want to send me orders early, I also recommend you guys use this site; send me the link and password in a PM, and that way I can't see your orders until I open it purposefully; alternatively, send me the orders early and hold the password until later on.

Either way, I will continue to use this as a way of showing that I'm on the up-and-up with my own orders.
